About Us

We're here to do it your way.

Wherever you are in life's journey we'd love to help you celebrate your stories, connections and individuality.

We offer life affirming art as installations, watercolors, canvas originals and fine art prints. Your prints can be on fine art paper, or stretched canvas, as well as everyday items.

We can even decorate a casket or urn so that you can say goodbye to your pet or person in a way that reflects who they were and still are to you.

About Trees

Our latest project is to bring nature into communities with tree art installations.

These are customized to promote community, reflect the availability of resources, honor and affirm the values of an organization... whatever matters to your people.

Trees can be interior (canvas) or exterior (aluminum panels).

We are working in collaboration with a local non-profit, Keeler Gardens, to develop this program and bring the strength and connections of nature into communities.

A really exciting branch (had to say it) of this is Keeler's people. They bring meaning and depth to our art in being able to offer workshops for group exploration and development through creative thinking and community collaboration.

See more here, on our Trees page, as we find and discover more possibilities in art, community, and nature.

If you could get your cool ideas out of your head and onto canvas, what would your life portrait look like?

  • More than just a portrait... illustrate your life, family connections and in-jokes, joys and passions.

  • More than just one moment in time. You can combine images from over the years to weave a fuller story.

  • People, pets, scenes or compositions that really reflect what matters to you. More than a photograph: a collage of meaning.

  • Do you have an artist in the family? We can integrate their work, bring everyone together.

  • Prints available to share with friends and family.

  • Give us a call, we'd love to brainstorm roots and wings with you.

Paula Clayton: Chicago-based artist.

Hi, My name's Paula, I'm an Artist, based in Chicago, and the main force behind DGB.

Lions, tigers, and bears... oh my!  Signature Mural & Finish, Inc. Strutting our stuff with painting the minivan.

I was born and raised in Wellington, New Zealand, and spent 3 years back there after 15 years painting murals and faux finishes in the States.

Painting, for me, has always been part of staying vaguely sane.  I had a ball over those 3 years painting whatever the heck I felt like.  Which started off being power poles, moved on to Karate Mermaids, and then landscapes. With occasional segues into whatever else appealed.

I'm now using those years of experience painting murals and faux finishes to support folks getting art in their own darn style. I love love love using the cool materials and goop we use in finishes to make art. I love love love even more when we can totally thrill you with getting your story up there and visual.

I paint artworks with artist's acrylics and many other delicious textural products from the world of faux finishing and fine art.

And I keep saying "we" here. The "we" is a bunch of other artists DGB has teamed up with to offer you different styles and approaches to connect with.

What would you have, if you could have anything you wanted?

We create canvases and digital artwork with your story. And paint. Or goop. We love to work with people who see things. We would be delighted to help you to shout out your vision, your story, your adventures in the world.
